Terms and Conditions

PARENT IN CLASS

All children in classes before age 6 should be accompanied by only ONE parent in class at all lessons.

TRANSFER OF CLASS

Materials are changed every week due to the high growth period of the brain. We do not encourage transfer of classes once a new term commences.

ROLE OF INSTRUCTOR

The Shichida MethodTM is a brain based programme and not an instructor based programme. It is the quality of parent-child bonding which is the focus of the lesson.

ARRANGEMENT OF INSTRUCTORS

Kindly take note that we will have an average of 3 instructors assigned to conduct the lessons over the first 2 to 3 years as we have upgraded our course management standards. They will form a team to conduct evaluations of students’ performances and play the role of teacher, parent consultant and examiner.

OBSERVERS IN CLASS

Siblings and other adults are strictly not allowed into the classroom during lessons. All parents and visitors waiting outside are asked to respect this rule of not peeping into class while lessons are underway. Please also refrain from standing directly outside the classroom while classes are in progress.

PARENT EDUCATION

The Parent Education course is compulsory so that parents are able to apply essential skills and knowledge for better home practice results.

WEEKLY HOME PRACTICE

Home Practice is required so as to enhance the child’s strengths and interests. It is recommended that parents set aside time between 15 to 30 minutes each day and to practise not less than 3 days a week so as to meet the growth requirements of the child undergoing the training.

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS

A term-based set of recommended materials is offered and you can buy this with special discount and pay together with the term fee.

ARRANGEMENT OF LESSONS

Children from the ages of 0 to 3 years old who are initially enrolled in a morning time slot may be moved to an afternoon slot from the ages of 4 years and above. You will be given prior notice of the arrangement.

MAKE UP LESSON

There will be 1 make-up lesson per term for children who are too unwell to turn up for Shichida classes. A medical certificate is required for reference to support such a request. Each make-up lesson may not be facilitated by the same instructor at the same day or time of your appointment. We regret to inform you that granting a replacement lesson is strictly on the basis of exceptional reasons, such as illness or hospitalisation.

COURSE COMPLETION

Termination of the course during the growth period is highly discouraged. As the results are developing smoothly while on the course, parents are discouraged from long absences.

COURSE CONTINUATION

We seek your cooperation to pay the due term fees by the stipulated period to ensure the confirmed arrangement and organisation of Shichida classes. The terms and conditions of this Programme may be amended from time to time with due written notice to you. Such notice may be posted on our Notice Boards at our Centres or found in the Application Forms issued from time to time.
